It's strange where an off-hand comment can take you.
While listening to Tamer Animals by Other Lives shortly after discovering them last year, I jokingly remarked to the missus that one of the songs would make you want to write a soundtrack for a Western movie. That half-thought gave rise to an idea that has developed into a project I never expected.
Last year I went to see the brilliant Heritage Centre play a stripped down acoustic set in the Stag's Head.
The boys were their usual, ridiculously talented selves, but I was also blown away by the opening act, Red Sail.
After the gig, I introduced myself and we got talking about doing some recording...
So, I'm doing a few acoustic shows in New York at the end of the month.

You'd have to be living under a rock to be a music fan and not have heard of South By Southwest (SXSW). The annual music festival which pretty much takes over the entire city of Austin, Texas is such a huge industry event, that it's difficult (and expensive) for audience and bands alike to get in on the action. So when I heard about Couch By Couchwest (CXCW) a couple of weeks ago, I was immediately drawn to what is a brilliant and yet simple concept.
